The return Moon carries the emotional weather: its sign is the flavor of feeling, its house the area where you will seek comfort or feel the most change. Finally, overlay the return chart on your natal chart — a return planet landing on a natal planet activates that natal theme for the year. Keep in mind the chart is strongest near your birthday and fades as the next return approaches.

Where you are on your birthday matters: the solar return is cast for your location on that day, not for your birthplace, so spending the day in another time zone can shift the Ascendant and the houses entirely.
