What it is

A stellium is a tight cluster of three or more planets in one zodiac sign or one house. A few astrologers prefer four as the minimum, and a Sun-Mercury-Venus trio is sometimes set aside because those three always travel together, but three is the common working threshold. The cluster acts like a gravitational center - the sign's style and the house's life area take on an outsized share of the chart's energy.

Where most charts spread their planets around the wheel like a committee, a stellium is a supermajority. Look for the ruler of the stellium's sign - it acts as the cluster's manager, and its own placement shows how the concentrated energy gets delivered. Then check the empty opposite: the sign and house directly across the chart is the counterweight, the area you tend to underdevelop. A stellium concentrates talent and focus, which is genuinely useful - it can produce real expertise and a clear sense of direction.
